The Mutley Tavern is an exciting conversion of a well-located Mutley pub into a unique and vibrant student residence full of character! The Tavern is perfectly sized—large enough to offer all the necessary amenities, yet small enough to feel cozy and personal.
The Mutley Tavern features 15 bed spaces across 2 flats and 4 studios, all well-maintained and secure. Our long-serving property manager is known for being incredibly helpful and responsive, as noted by many students.
Recently renovated, the Mutley Tavern is situated at the corner of Furzehill Road and Kensington Road, just steps away from the shops, cafés, takeaways, and pubs on Mutley Plain, with an easy walk to campus.
- Ground Floor – The 3 Studios & 1-Bed Flat
- Each studio features a double or king-size bed, bedside tables, double wardrobe with mirror, desk, executive chair, leather sofa, coffee table, and dining set. The kitchens include white gloss cupboards, a hob, microwave/convection oven, and fridge with freezer compartment. Each studio also has an en-suite with a power shower, vanity sink, and WC.
- First Floor – Flat B
- This flat has five bedrooms, each furnished with matching light oak furniture, including a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk, and executive chair. The flat includes two shower rooms with power showers, a spacious lounge with leather sofas, comfy chairs, a flat-screen TV, and a kitchen with high gloss white cupboards, stainless steel appliances, a dishwasher, and a dining area for six.
- Second Floor – Flat A
- Flat A consists of six large study bedrooms, each with an en-suite shower room, light oak double bed, wardrobe, desk, and executive chair. The loft-style living area has wooden beams, leather sofas, comfy chairs, and a flat-screen TV. The kitchen is equipped with high gloss white cupboards, stainless steel appliances, a large fridge and freezer, a microwave/convection oven, and a dishwasher. The dining area seats eight.
